I am a Munich based Director of Photography (DOP), Film-maker and Photographer with over 20 years of experience in the field.

 

I see my self very lucky to be able to follow both of my passions, film and photography professionally side by side. They go hand in hand and come down to one thing, “visual storytelling”.

Creatively bringing together the powers of light and shadow, colour, composition and camera movement to set a unique mood for each individual story or scene is one of my biggest passions.

 

I believe that having lived in Los Angeles and London and working all over the world has had great influence in my development as a person as well as a creative visual storyteller.

 

Both, still and moving images captivate me in each of their unique ways. In photography, I have specialised on portraits for artists, businesses and private individuals or families. In film, my genres cover fictional storytelling for cinema and television, commercials, music videos and documentaries. I am member of the German Society of Cinematographers (BVK) and the Steadicam Operator Association (SOA). ​
