Cinematographer | Photographer

About me

I am a Munich based Cinematographer/DOP and Photographer with over 20 years of experience in the field.
I see my self very lucky to be able to follow both of my passions, film and photography professionally. They go hand in hand and come down to one thing, “visual storytelling”.
Creatively bringing together the powers of light and shadow, color, composition and camera movement to set a unique mood for each individual story, is one of my biggest passions.
I believe that having lived in London and Los Angeles and having worked all over the world, has had great influence in my development as a person as well as a creative and visual storyteller.
Both, still and moving images captivate me in each of their unique ways. In photography, I have specialized on portraits for artists, businesses and private individuals. In film, my genres cover fictional storytelling for cinema and television, commercials, music videos and documentaries. I am member of the German Society of Cinematographers (BVK) and the Steadicam Operator Association (SOA).
